This year’s treasure is a special acrylic medallion hidden somewhere in the city of Rochester on public property — never on private land, even if it appears open to the public. It will not be hidden in cemeteries, on golf courses, or anywhere dangerous to search such as roadways. When you find it, you’ll know without a doubt! The medallion must be exchanged to claim the prize, and the lucky finder will receive a $500 check.
This beloved hunt has been a Rochester tradition for 43 years, and we ask all searchers to respect the natural beauty of our community and the treasure’s hiding place. Please search responsibly and leave every location exactly as you found it.
Each day’s clue will bring you closer to the treasure — and once you spot it, its location will be obvious!
We will provide clues starting on Saturday, June 20th.
