Rochesterfest Grand Parade Entry

Hello Rochesterfest Parade Unit Coordinators for Political Candidates and Political Parties,

Some of you are new to participating in the annual Rochesterfest Grand Parade -- and some of you have participated in the parade for many, many years!

This email is being sent to clarify the Rochesterfest Grand Parade guidelines for parade units participating in the parade on Saturday, June 27. When the parade lineup has been set, there will be no changes to it. PLEASE DON’T ASK!!!

Safety is a primary concern for the Rochesterfest Board of Directors.

For the safety of the parade viewing audience and the parade unit participants, please note the following instructions.

1) The number of people allowed to walk alongside a parade unit will be limited to 25.
2) Your walkers MUST keep pace with your parade unit. 

    Your walkers cannot fall behind - nor can they speed ahead of your unit. Please be respectful and do not interfere with other units participating in the parade.

3) Any candy or items distributed by parade units to the viewing crowd MUST be handed to the people viewing the parade at the curbside.

    No candy or other items are to be thrown from the street or vehicles participating in the parade.

4) Your parade units are limited to ONE motorized vehicle participating in the parade.

     This is important to keeping the parade length within the set timeframe.

You will receive additional parade day details when you receive the email with the parade line up number.

Rochesterfest 2026 Grand Parade -- Details:

Date: Saturday, June 27, 2026

Time: 2:00PM

Unit Staging: Begins at 12:00PM

Roads will be blocked at 1:00. Please be on time.

Location: Soldiers Field Memorial Park (George Gibbs Drive SW)

Parade Media Sponsor: KAAL -TV 6 News The Rochesterfest Grand Parade will be televised on KAAL-TV.
