Time for the 2026 Rochesterfest Button Design Contest
Official Rules and Overview
The Rochesterfest Button Contest is an exciting opportunity for local artists to design the official button for Rochesterfest 2026. The winning designwill be featured across official Rochesterfest promotional materials and advertising. The selected artist will receive a $300 cash prize and the opportunity to be part of Rochesterfest history.
Rochesterfest 2026 Theme:
ONE NATION — MANY STORIES
Keep in mind 2026 is the 250th anniversary of America.
Eligibility
Residency: Open to individuals who reside in SE Minnesota.
Age: Open to artists of all ages
Entry Limit: Each participant may submit up to two (2) designs
Design Requirements
Shape
All designs must be created in a circular format, as the final button will be printed as a circle.
Theme & Required Text
Designs must reflect the theme “One Nation — Many Stories.”

Original Artwork
All submissions must be the original work of the entrant.
Designs may not include copyrighted or trademarked material.
AI-generated artwork is not permitted and will result in automatic disqualification.
Color & Typography
There are no restrictions on color or font style.
Designs must remain clear, legible, and visually effective at button size.
Format & Resolution
Entries may be submitted digitally or in physical form.
Digital submissions must be in .jpg, .jpeg, or .png format with a minimum resolution of 300 dpi.

Judging Process
Round One:
The Rochesterfest Board of Directors will review all eligible submissions and select the top ten (10) designs. All questionable buttons created using Artificial Intelligence will be ruled out.Final Round:
The top ten designs will be voted on by the public. One vote per Email address will be allowed. Voting will be available on both Facebook and our website (www.rochesterfest.com)

Originality
Tie in to the 250th Anniversary of America
Visual appeal

Grand Prize:
